Kuntanawa Yunu Rapé wordt bereid met de gebruikelijke hoogwaardige tabaksas van het hout en de bast van de Sapota-boom. De Sapota boom maakt een geweldige as die zeer zacht is voor de neus. De melange krijgt zijn heerlijke verfrissende geur van de bladeren van een boom die Yunu heet. Yunu is de naam van dit kruid in hun inheemse taal. In het Portugees noemen de locals het Lourinho of Lourim. De botanische naam hebben we tot nu toe niet kunnen achterhalen. Yunu of Lourinho heeft een zeer aangename, verfrissende muntgeur die de geest zeker verheft. Het ondersteunt spirituele reiniging en verdrijft negatieve energieën.

In the Kuntanawa tradition the healers use it to heal depression. Depression is seen as the consequence of negative energy accumulating in the energetic body. This is from wrong choices, from external influences and as with everything from influences of the spiritual worlds. Negative thoughts attracts negative energies and beings that feed on that energy. Just the shaman takes the medicines to pray and journey and discover what needs to be uncovered,
