This handmade kuripe, shaped in a V, is designed for the self-application of rapé, a sacred medicine crafted from the ashes of medicinal Amazonian plants, tobacco, seeds, and other natural ingredients. Various indigenous tribes such as the Yawanawa, Kuntanawa, Huni Kuin, and Nukini prepare different types of rapé, used in both medicinal and ceremonial practices.
