Shamanic Snuff – Tsunu Native
Sacred Connection Tsunu Native is the gentlest of our home brand Tsunu varieties. Made with Tsunu ashes and medium strength natural moi mapacho tobacco typical in Acre state. The Tsunu ashes we use in our Shamanic Snuffs are original from our friends at the Yawanawa. The Yawanawa are the masters of Tsunu although it is in the general the most used ash of the region. There are some different species of trees the locals identify as Tsunu but for the Yawanawa there is only one.
This local Mapacho variety has a beautiful flavour. It is completely natural and kind on the head. The farmers grow the tobacco without pesticides in the upper Jurua region. The Jurua river runs in Acre parallel to the Peruvian border. It is the most western part of Brazil close to the border with Peru. Here we find the Jurua extractive reserve where we find many traditional communities exercising professions like rubber tapping and planting tobacco. These people live in a sustainable fashion in harmony with the forest, they take what they need but never more. They are the mixture of races we call Caboclo and they have learned from their indigenous brothers how to live in harmony with their surroundings. The moi tobacco is a nice rustica tobacco with a wonderful flavour. It is gentle on the nose and the effect is mild.
Moi Mapacho sticks
This tobacco comes in long sticks that in general weigh around 1,5 kilo each and have more than e meter in length. They are way bigger than the Peruvian mapacho masso. They are also superior quality, for Rapé Snuff and for smoking. Originally most the Rapé of the region was made with this original local mapacho.
Use with respect and care; it is a tobacco product and can be habit forming!
