Shamanic Totem Pipes

The use of the pipe began in the Americas in the pre-Columbian period, part of the sacred rituals of these peoples, meaning, for some cultures, the union of the terrestrial (represented by the leaves) with the celestial (represented by smoke).

The Smoke for the Indian is a vehicle of connection with spirituality, smoke to maintain the bond with the beings and forces of nature, seeking the harmony between the terrestrial plane and the celestial universe. In the social sphere in community the good relation between relatives is maintained, sharing the harvest, the hunts, the plantation of the gardens, smoking the pipe and passing on the companion of the side.
