Explore the Sacred Kuripe Pipe

Sacred Connection is your go-to source for authentic Kuripe pipes. These handcrafted tools are used for ceremonial and personal Rapé applications, and have a long history among Amazonian tribes in the northern regions of Brazil. With a unique shape that allows for self-administration of Rapé powder, they’re an ideal way to explore the many spiritual benefits of this profound shamanic medicine, connecting heart, breath, and spirit through sacred intention and tradition.

What is a Kuripe?

A Kuripe pipe is a ceremonial tool used in solo Rapé practice. Rapé (pronounced ha-peh) is a powdered plant medicine that promotes self-healing, connection, chakra balancing, and enhanced meditation, and plays a key role in Amazonian spiritual ceremonies.

Unlike the Tepi pipe, which requires another person for administration, a Kuripe can be used on your own. This is due to its “V” shaped design, which allows you to blow from the mouthpiece directly into your nostril, where Rapé is propelled into your nasal cavity. Try a Kuripe with all types of Rapé, including the commonly used Yawanawa or Nukini varieties.

Note that there are several traditional materials used in Kuripe pipes. Explore our collection today to find the wood, bone, metal, or bamboo Kuripe that’s right for you.

Authentic Craftsmanship

When you buy a Kuripe for sale from Sacred Connection, you get more than just a beautiful ceremonial tool.

  • All of our Kuripes are handmade, and many were carved, painted, and/or decorated by indigenous artisans in the Amazon.
  • Featuring intricate designs and thoughtful artistic touches, they’re a testament to the inherent beauty behind Rapé practice, supplying a forceful blow for the convenient solo administration of traditional shamanic medicine.
  • As you shop our Kuripes, make sure to pay attention to the material in addition to the design.
  • The material used for a Kuripe influences the energy of the pipe and its most notable benefits.
  • A bamboo Kuripe pipe is preferred for lightness, for example, while those made from hardwood are sometimes preferred for aesthetic appeal.

Tips for Using a Kuripe Pipe

As with any spiritual practice, set and setting are key when using a Kuripe. In an appropriate ceremonial setting, set an intention for your Rapé experience and use that intention to guide your focus. In this way, you can clear your mind for the spiritual benefits of Rapé while also paying respect to the practices and mindfulness behind this ancient Amazonian tradition.
